Get Hooked!Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of the Get Hooked! app for Android. On iPhone and iPad the app is licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

These Terms cover Get Hooked! for Android from the v4 update onward. On a version from before the update, the earlier Terms apply until you update.
On iPhone and iPad, the App is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, not these Terms. The safety disclaimer in section 7 applies on every platform, and the App asks you to acknowledge it on first launch wherever you run it.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Get Hooked! (the "App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The Android App asks you to accept these Terms on its first screen, and again whenever they change. Using the App after that screen is acceptance.
2. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Hooked on Yutz grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal use, and — if you subscribe and publish a captain profile — to operate your own charter business.
You may NOT:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the App
- Distribute, transfer, sublicense, lease, lend, or rent the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Resell access to the App, or use it to build a competing product
- Use automated means to extract data from our services
3. Accounts
You must be at least 13 to create an account. An account holds an email address and syncs your fishing data to our servers, and we do not knowingly create one for anyone younger. This is about who the account belongs to, not who is allowed on the boat — a parent or guardian is welcome to let a child fish alongside them on an adult's device.
Syncing your data requires an account, created with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
You may use the App without an account. In that case your data stays on your device and nothing syncs.
You can delete your account from inside the App, or at gethooked.fish/delete-account, at any time. Deletion is permanent: your data is removed from our servers and cannot be recovered by us or by you.
4. Your Content and Data
All catches, spots, trips, tracks, photos, forecasts and other data you create ("Your Content") remain your property. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store Your Content, sync it between your devices, process it to produce your forecasts and statistics, and restore it when you ask. We do not combine Your Content with other users' data, and we do not sell it. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
If you publish a captain profile, a share card or a trip postcard, you grant us permission to display that specific content publicly for as long as you keep it published. You are responsible for having the right to publish anything you upload, including photographs of other people.
Keep your own copies. The App can export everything you have at any time, and we strongly encourage you to do so. We take reasonable care with your data but are not liable for its loss.
5. Subscription Terms
Get Hooked! is an annual auto-renewing subscription. All features are included; there are no tiers and no additional purchases.
- Payment is charged to your Google account through Google Play at confirmation of purchase
- The subscription renews automatically each year unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends
- Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions at any time
- Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play terms; we cannot issue them directly
- The current price is shown in the App before you purchase. If the price changes, existing subscribers keep their price unless they are notified and consent, as Google Play requires
Losing access at the end of a subscription does not delete your data. It stays on your device, and you can still export it.
6. Charts and Third-Party Data
The App displays weather, water conditions, river flow, satellite imagery and, where available, marine charts supplied by third parties. That content is provided under their terms and may be inaccurate, delayed or unavailable. It is licensed for use inside the App only, and may not be extracted or redistributed.
Charts in the App are not a substitute for official navigational charts and must not be used for navigation.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Fishing forecasts, scores or bite windows will be accurate
- Weather, river flow, water temperature, chart or satellite data will be current or reliable
- Sync will complete in any particular time, or at all, without a working connection
SAFETY DISCLAIMER: Get Hooked! provides informational tools only. Every forecast, score, verdict, bite window and conditions rating in the App is an estimate produced from public weather and water models. It is not a marine forecast, not a safety rating, and not a statement that any day, water or window is safe. The App does not know your vessel, your experience, or the conditions you will actually meet, and nothing it displays — including a favourable forecast or the absence of a warning — is advice to go out. You are solely responsible for checking the official marine forecast and any warnings in effect, for assessing weather and water conditions yourself, for the seaworthiness of your vessel, for making safe decisions about when and where to fish, and for your own safety and that of your passengers. The departure and return notices sent to your emergency contacts are a convenience, not a safety or rescue service, and must never be relied on in place of telling a real person where you are going and filing with the appropriate authorities. Charts, depths and contours in the App are not for navigation.
You are responsible for knowing and obeying all fishing regulations, licensing requirements, seasons and limits that apply where you fish. The App does not provide legal advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOOKED ON YUTZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to liability, or $100, whichever is greater.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within it. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, use the service unlawfully, or publish content that violates section 4. Where practical we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the App before it takes effect. Continuing to use the App after that constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Erie County, Ohio.
